my daughter gets 4 scholarships for academics.. 1 from national merit, one university funded one for national merit, one from the university for academics and one from the state.. enough to pay for everything and give her some pocket money (less this year than last, but still some.. which is good, as part of the leftover will go to pay the taxes). she was within 20.00 of the max she could get last year, and didn't apply for anything else for this year, though she should have done.. she'll fix that next year, applying for some of the scholarships offered by her department. as costs go up and her scholarships stay the same, the gap between what she gets and what she could get grows larger, might as well fill that up if she can!
