Ok, for this class (its a CompE 150 class, so really not that advanced) I need a simple analog circuit. I need some idea of what to build. It can't use a digital chip, and it has to be able to fit on a 2"x2" board (so it can't have that many parts to it). Think on the level of having a blinking light.

So any schematic ideas would be appreciated. The project is mostly to demonstrate good soldering capabilities.

Just so you know. I am thinking of doing something like this http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/canary.html

How about this?

Make a simple A/D converter out of comparators... add as many as you'd like and hook up LEDs to the outputs. Connect a pot to the input and you have a simple analog (potentiometer divider voltage) to digital (LEDs) converter.

Yea. I'm so making this for my EE306 project.

I would do that, but that was our first lab. My partner and I decided to go with the canary schematic.

Thanks for the suggestions though.
