Link - Scene It? Box Office Smash has a release date of 10/28. What does this have to do with "The New Xbox Experience"? Simply put, this version of Scene It? makes use of the Avatars. I'm not sure if the game will work without the Avatars but I think it is potentially a good indicator of when we should see the new Dash.

Prediction: the game is shipping without avatar support out of the box, and a patch will be issued when the NXE update gets released.

Sons of bitches, I was really hoping for some DLC question packs for the first one.

So was I. That was my biggest disappointment. The good thing with the new release is that you can buy the new version without the controllers.

I also don't see anything about online play. I really hope it has online play (with multiple players per Xbox).

The Scene It? page at Xbox.com says:

Online multiplayer: Airplane flights are expensive, and your friends are everywhere. Solution? A Scene It? match over Xbox LIVE. Better than a phone call, playing over Xbox LIVE builds new memories with old friends and the opportunity to test your knowledge against friends or movie buffs around the world with several new online multiplayer modes.

Just ran across this at Shacknews.

While Krome's movie-trivia Scene It? Box Office Smash will be the first game to support Xbox Live Avatars when it arrives on October 28, publisher Microsoft is remaining quiet as to when the new Avatar-packing Xbox 360 dashboard update will arrive.

"We have nothing to announce at this time regarding NXE's launch date. Stay tuned!" a Microsoft representative told Shacknews when asked if the game's launch signaled the the impending release of the new dashboard.

The company added: "We are excited that Scene It? Box Office Smash will be the first game to fully integrate with the New Xbox Experience Avatars."

Thus far, Microsoft has only stated that the new dashboard will arrive this fall, with ad listings pointing to a November release. Dubbed the New Xbox Experience, the free software update includes a a new interface, Netflix streaming, customizable player Avatars, support for optional game installs, and more.
