This is an interesting thread...
On a related subject, there is actually a book on the last words of various people throughout history.
I don't have the book in front of me, but interesting quotes from movie stars and famous people.
One famous elderly actress asked for her maid to hand her a hair brush. And the end came.
And several were quoted as hearing peaceful heavenly music and seeing incredible images seconds before giving up the ghost.
Was kind of a morbid read, the book that I don't remember the name of, but interesting.

I'll hunt it down, post the title, with a few excerpts (if I remember).
