Seems like a OK price for an 18" LCD. No DVI though. Don't know much about it or the company that makes it though, other than the specs they have posted.

Notice that the pictures are of a Microtek - think they are the same company. Looks like the same monitor Wal-Mart was selling last year - got generally good reviews. Newegg's defective pixel policy is very poor compared to most places.

Good price for an 18"er, but still a bit sketchy to me. I want to know why I was able to buy a Dell 1800FP for this price a year ago, and prices haven't dropped in the slightest for more than 12 months. Agh.

I think you are referring to the response time. I can't say for sure, but an 18" LCD for under $400 isn't likely to have a 16ms or lower response time. That's the absolute highest you'll want if playing fast first person shooters such at UT2004.

Here's the same item at walmart.

Not much more info, and I can't find it anywhere else online, just doing a quickie search.

BTW, Walmart's online price, with shipping, is the same as newegg's shipped price, so if you want to wait til later on....... :)

According to Micotek, the Wal-mart version has a 30 ms response rate (model C893). Not as bad as I thought.
