scanning the network

Hi everybody,
Does anybody know if its possible to share a scanner on a network? And if so how?

I'm not sure what scanner you have, but I have a epson. The software that came with it has the ability to use it on a network. Check the manufacture of your scanners web site. There could be software programs that allow you to use a scanner on a network, but I do not know of any.
