No, really.

I got in at 3pm yesterday. It's 130am. I'm supposed to get off at 1145pm. I will most likely not be able to go to school at 8am. I'm on page 144.

At least I'll have tomorrow night off. I just wish I had food here. 😀

So, what are you doing up?

It seemed like a cool task 10 hours ago.

I was wrong.

At least there's free coffee.

Apparently the pages are just barely too thick for the autofeed on this scanner... or so I was told by someone who was doing this when I got in. Turns out I have to rescan all of his stuff too.

Have you at least tried the autofeed before taking their word? 🙂

Yeah, it doesn't work.

Oh, well. I did two classes of homework, read everything I wanted to know about hydrogen in the HT forum, read thousands of slashdot comments, and the night's not over yet. 😉

We kind of got this dropped in our laps. Normally my job is far less interesting. 😉

On a delicious note, I'm in a different office, and the secretary has a candy bowl. I felt bad about taking it a few runs ago, but I'm supposed to be getting a 20% differential for working overnight and I'm not. So screw them. 😛

I'm also listening to some 90s streaming radio. What a sad decade I grew up in. 2-Legit indeed.

dude.. if you are scanning that many pages.. get your job to get a better scanner and a faster one..

trust me.. it makes all the difference.. I used to scan about 300-500 pages per day at my old job.. yeah it was all text and at 150-200 dpi, it would take a few hours.. get a better scanner.. not sure what you're using but the scanner makes all the diff.. and get one that can deal with your paper in the adf.

This is just a one time thing.

Interesting idea, would you save all the receipts too because I try to keep them organized and with their statements but I've been slacking lately.

I'm scanned a ton of old statements with an HP OfficeJet ADF, but unfortunately have much more to archive. PaperPort is your friend. 🙂

What's the weight of the paper that can't go through your ADF?

No idea what the weight is.

Using the feeder would only be slightly less work and I'd still have to be here anyway. Might as well get the exercise of opening and closing the scanner. 😉

184 down.

I'm using an Epson 1640XL and I like it. No muss, no fuss. Pretty straight forward.

Now I know I've been here too long. The radio station is starting to repeat songs.
