Scanner that will divide batches into multiple documents

I am looking for a scanner that will do the following in batch.

Example:
I have 10 pages to scan. I want to scan them all at one time. I want the first document to be 3 pages, second document to be 6 pages, and the last to be 1 page.

I talked to HP and they don't have a scanner that will do this. Anyone know of one that will?

Paperport will do this via software with any scanner using the 'blank page seperates jobs' option.

10 pages all at one time? I don't know of any scanner that can do that. 10 pages one at a time, manually or with a feeder, yes. But all at once, no.

Sometimes it depends on the software as to how scans are grouped into docs. Right now, I can scan 10 pages into editable docs using Omnipage Pro 16, and group the pages as I choose, e.g., 3, 2, and 5.

And it seems Paperport can do it as well.

It is Not a scanner (hardware feature) you have to look for scanning software that can employ such control.

I never looked for such feature, so I am unaware of the software that can do it.

This one is one of the top scanning software, http://finereader.abbyy.com/

NitroPDF is good at breaking up an existing PDF into parts, or combining multiple PDF's into one.
Very good point. And, NitroPDF Pro can scan documents directly into PDF files.
