Scanner skipping pages

My office scanner (a Brother all in one) has a problem with skipping pages when using the doc feeder to scan/copy. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks
 
Is it grabbing two pages at once?

That's probably either dirty rollers or crappy originals.

The pickup rollers can get gummed up with paper dust. Clean the pickup roller with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. If it's more than a couple years old, you make need to replace the roller, as the rubber breaks down over time.

(If the paper gets dirty or is folded, the current sheet can grab the next one, and that might also be causing your problem.
