My laptop keeps running scandisk after every boot up even if the shutdown was clean. It never finds a problem.Any ideas on stopping it?Thanks

its a setting I believe.
I don't recall how to fix it off the top of my head, but look around the properties of your drives (right-click your c drive in my computer and look at properties).

Dont know what OS you are using but try this.
Go to start--click on run---type [msconfig] without the brackets---click on selective startup-click on file named startup---take the checkmark out of everything that says scandisk.click ok and reboot.
hope this helps.
