Scan to HP network printer, need help.

So, the printers IP is 192.168.1.12. I can print to it as a network printer no problem. I know scanning used to work over the network. where do you go to specify to the HP software that the new IP is 192.168.1.12 or is it more complex than that? I'm a newb with network scanners.

Normally the HP software references the All in One by its Name. Like the all in one I was working with today was HP7600HRCA4 or something like that. I would suggest just removing the HP software and reinstalling it.. That way It will find it a again.. and be easy

You set it from the control panel on the HP Printer / All in one ....
Without the exact model I can't be specific but on the HP7410
you go to: Setup, press 8, then press 3 .. this is the Network
menu Advanced Setup ... now press 2 to select IP Settings
You will now be able to set the IP you want ... Press OK when done
