got to go with Amber about the cd-r's

It's all about the burner baby, and maybe the software.
I got the phillips 8x a while back, burned everything in sight with nero.
Then I got the 24x from OMax and it was a BTC :( The 16x Hi Vals I had would freeze my computer for cripes sake.
I brought the BTC back, after sanding off the black paint, and replaced it with a Lite-On.
Not only does it burn the HiVal 16x, it burns them at 24x!!!!:)

I got 400 of these. These disc are CHEAP. No top layer. Just some hival printing on them.

ATIP: 97m 32s 19f
Disc Manufacturer: Prodisc Technology Inc.
Reflective layer: Dye (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 74f / LBA: 359849)

It only set me back $32 for 400. I will just sell a couple of spindles off to my freinds. $12 for 200 cheap cds is ok with me

whew that scan did take awhile for me to download, but it was worth the wait.

the local officemax at arlington heights (near Rand hurst mall).
had about 25 packs of them (looks exactly the same (except for the speed rating..)but some were 16x and some were 12x)

brought mine to the check out, rang up as $49.99 showed him the printed ad (thanx mysticman!)
and he looked at it, asked "where did u get it from?" , i replied "online".
went to his manager, he punched something in.
ding ding ding, $11 (incl, tax) :D

great deal, it looks ok, ill test it with 24x and see what happens.

good deal. (i guess ill save my fuji for super important stuff..)

edit--- nice, no problem with burning at 24x! nice.

Maybe i'm wrong, but aren't CMC's not known for their quality????? if thats the case, it's too bad, as thats a GREAT price for 100-32X CD's.

Just scored 100 here in Orange county. No hassles at all. Great deal for those who hate rebates.

I never could find this deal at the Jacksonville Fla location..I did see an empty spot on a shelf with the sticker for 49.99 and it was never mentioned in our flier. They did have another deal tho. Boxes of 200 36X cdrs for 19.99 after 40.00 instant rebate. I got 2boxes and there was still 9 boxes left this evening when I left. There were a few other small items with "instant rebates" too.. I also used a Staples 10 off 40 coupon. My CSR was new and didnt know how to apply so asked another girl and she told her how. I was afraid she wasnt going to honor it though cuz she was complaining to 2-3 other csrs at the front desk about people printing Staples coupons they were getting online and bringing them to OM cuz Staples prices are alot higher... doesnt sound good...hope they dont start turning us down for competitors coupons. They are getting to be one of the best sources for hot deals lately...:frown::confused::frown::confused:
