Now that I think of it, maybe it was Jeff who wrote that thing about never being heard from again under a different guise. Things like that add a sort of mystery to things and keep people wondering about where he is, etc. It's a brilliant device that is often used by authors in books to hook the reader and keep them thinking about the book. This guy could have done the same to cement himself as an internet legend.
