I got a text from this place advertising their company. I refuse to text anyone except the people I know and I dont give out my #. Their website said that to opt out you go to their site. Well their site says that they want to give me $1.35 to compensate me for the mistaken text. All I have to do is go through their opt out process. I dont want their $ I just want them to never text me again.

Anyone know anything about this place? Google hasn't helped me with this.

So let me get this straight. You got a random text message from someone who now wants to give you money?

I have an uncle in Britian that really needs a laptop. He is willing to pay $5,000USD for a transaction of great magnitude.

Instead of going to their website and showing them that you got their message so they can proceed to sell your number why not just get your phone company to block them from sending you anymore texts?

I bet the opt-out process involves either your credit card or bank account number for the refund to go through.

Sounds legit to me.

Well the problem is you can't just opt-out. To opt-out by their rules you need to make a account, D/L 3 songs, THEN they will remove you. ;)

Please read the instructions below if you have received an SMS message from our marketing vendor and would like to "Opt-Out" of future marketing promotions. 1. Sign up for a free wermp3.com account
Make sure to input your mobile number in the mobile number field

2. After you have activated your account * please choose & download 3 songs from our enormous music catalog of more than 5 million songs.

3. After you download 3 songs, our system will automatically opt out your mobile number by sending an email to our marketing vendor requesting your mobile number to be opted out.

8 cents doesn't sound bad anyway so I tried it out. Everything seems clean so far. No spam email afterward or anything like that.

I got the same text message as well. I just deleted it and moved on with my life. I figured it was just some auto-texter, so I ignored it.

We are not a scam. We sincerely apologize if you received a text and did not opt-in. We hired a marketing vendor to send text messages to their ?opt-in? list. They informed us that some numbers will fall through the cracks. Again we sincerely apologize for this. So sorry for misspelling on our site. :)
