Tell him that you need $40,000 for a new business, and that you'll make him a 51% partner.

Let us know what you spent the money on.

Confidence proves nothing. These people were quite confident that their beliefs were correct. The only thing they got right was that suicide is fatal.

Each member carried a five dollar bill and three quarters in their pockets.
Yes, even in the afterlife, you still need US currency.

Any common sense and your friend would realize that for 50k, he could open his own towing business & own it 100%, not 50% partner.

I'm pretty sure this thread is a troll. None of the details make any sense.

You haven't been watching the news lately have you? In case you haven't realized it, the economy is in the shitter with many banks and loan companies out of business because of how easy it is to get money nobody pays back.

OP, your friend is a bloomin idiot and you don't seem to be any brighter. Everything, EVERTHING here points to scam. It's morons like this that keeps these scammers going strong. You're plumb-fuck retarded for thinking his confidence alone is enough to doubt it's a scam. I'm telling ya man this scamming business sounds pretty awesome to me with all these mindless yokels around. If I lost my job I'd move out of the country and start raking in the dough at your friend's expense.

Since this was conducted electronically, perhaps your friend can get the authorities involved...who knows, maybe this can qualify as interstate wire fraud, and since I bet your friend is not the only dumb person roped into this scheme, the authorities might be more willing to investigate.

I want to start up a company too, to make the next WoW killer MMORPG. All you need to do is paypal me $50,000 and you can get into beta first!

IM me if it sounds good. Just look at how much WoW is making, even if we get 10% of the market, its still millions in your pocket. What are you waiting for?

Check please!

If it is a scam, do you think the CC companies will forgive the money he owes from the cash advance.

why would they? the difference between this story and the nigerian scams are this one is local. If this isnt shens, call the whatever the proper authorities will be. Local Police? FBI?

I have already suggested he contanct the authority but he is convinced it is legit.

Your friend is letting his greed get ahead of common sense.

If you're left to wonder because your friend is so convinced, you have to tell us what his argument is. What does he SAY in response to your doubts. There has to be a hook somehow.

Let your friend be severely disappointed when it fails and when he comes to you asking to help pay it off. Laugh in his face, then don't speak to him again.
