Got this email today..about 3 hours after putting my 65in TV up for sale.

Dear Sir/Ma,

I got your advert palced on the net that
you wanna sell the above items which i am highly
interested in buying from you.So i need you to tell me
the present condition of the item and the last price
that you will sell it to me with available pics if
any.

Also i want you to send me your full contact
name,address and cell number.

Waiting for your reply.

Regards,
Philip.

Sounds fishy to me, and I don't plan on responding. What do you all think??
And I stated the the price was FIRM and also stated the condition..so why bother asking again?

erm... i dont know if it is a scam or not.

but what kind of email would one expect to get on a for sale ad?

Perhaps something that doesn't request all of my full contact details including full name, address and telephone number in the first communication and without seeing pictures?

It sounds like one of those bulk messages that are so generic they are sent out to see if anyone bites and is dumb enough to send the info.

i don't forsee a scam? I would do the same thing (demand full contact info INCLUDING phone) when buying something that massive. it's only customary. also, they ask about condition because if it arrives in sub-par condition, they have firm legal ground to request a refund or even small-claims court.

If you have to ask...

I know, but its just so much fun!

What is, making a worthless thread?

Oh please...says the king of worthless threads himself.

Show me threads that I've made in the past few months that have been worthless.

Virtually your entire opinion up to this point has been worthless.

Aside from SPIDER, look at all the threads that have posts like "Oh... I didn't realize Syringer was the poster..."

Clue: It says he wants to buy the "above items", and also asked questions that were stated in the post.
