I have a quick quest.

what is the Glass plug in thing for ?

It's for clipping the headset to your eyeglasses or sunglasses I believe.

Just recieved mine today and yes it is for eye / sunglasses but I did not care for it and the clip works perfect even with glasses and this thing is a sweet little device ..I love it..

I fitted this sucker on my ear and it seems kinda loose.
When I walk around it feels like it'll fall off or something

Don't mention it 🙂 Just helping a fellow ATer out.

And regarding the ear loop, you can bend it to adjust it. Hope that helps 🙂

I wished I saw this deal about a week ago. I have a Java headset that I loved. Either me or the kids lost it so I just bought a logitech to replace it. I'm not digging the logitech too much ($50 worth of trash). Hard to hear. The Java went in the ear versus on to the ear.

I also don't like the multi function button. When on the highway at 65 to 70 I like to know exactly what a button is going to do instead of pushing it and watching for blinking lights, wondering if it is on etc...

You won't believe this but I got so mad hinking about the headset I lost that I tore apart all of our cars looking for it. I found it! It's a Jabra BT200 and I am glad to hve it back. I guess I can use the logitech at the job as a one ear, wireless headset.

Do you need bluetooth enabled phone or is there an adapter that plugs into the phone?

You need a bluetooth enabled phone.

Received mine over the weekend, but it is defected. The headset cannot be recharge.

Returning back to eCost for an exchange needs me to pay for shipping.

So I ended up calling Cardo and got the warranty service. I rather pay the shipping money to send it back to manufactor and know that I'll get back a working one then dealing with eCost.

can u buy a car charger for this BT headset ?
if yes, where and how much?
how is the sound level on this headset.......especially when you're driving at 70mph ??
can u adjust low and high sound levels?
how does this compare to the new mot HS850 BT headset?

I just bought a motorola A630 phone and if I buy this headset, do I just pair the headset with the phone and use voice activated dialing so I don't even have to touch the phone.

that's all I care about, the voice dialing and the sound adjustment.

Mine goes in and out intermittently due to damage from UPS, but the Sound on this thing is more than adaquate.

I keep it in the middle, and my roommates tell me i'm deaf 😛
It gets plenty loud, I'd say you can hit 90mph with windows open and you can probably still hear. The problem is the other person might not be able to hear you clearly due to the wind noise and the mic.

You probably won't need a car charger for this BT headset, not that one is available anyway. It has about 9 hour talk-time and a week standby. Sound level is incredible, I've used the motorola headset before settling on the Scala, and the motorola is just plain horrid in terms of sound quality and volume, couldn't hear anything and I'd have to press the headset against my head to try to make things louder, which defeats the purpose of a headset to begin with.

ya, I'm debating between this and the new moto HS850.
The 850 is BT 1.2, so its better as fas as sound quality and the best part about is that it replaces HS810 and just like the 810, I can shut the headset when I close the mic thereby making the headset go on for weeks. Also, the 850 takes less time to pair with BT devices.
but the HS850 is $100
the scala is $35

can someone comment on how easy/hard is it to pair the scala with a BT phone and a BT laptop.
how much time between getting a phone call and putting this headset on the ear and pressing a button to pair it with the phone and then talking on the phone?

Thanks OP. Luckily, I got in on this deal a few days ago. My final cost was $37.89 at PCMall (tax for CA). I hope my experience will mirror all those good reviews I read.

...er those prices are bad.... and you are most likely advertising your website or someone elses site since you can get those headsets on fleabay for cheap.
