I am thinking about buying a 750A for my new computer I am about to start on. I have just one question though. Can that stupid hard drive mount be moved so that it is not directly over the processor. This has always kept me from buying a Supermicro/Addtronics case even though I love most of the other features of the cases. Thanks

That's odd. I just looked at the picture on the Supermicro website and saw what you mean. I built a SC750A system about three years ago, and my 750A has a fan mounted there that blows at the cpu.

Looks like it is removable to me.

I know it is removable...but is there another place to mount it. I need basically every last drive bay in that monster so I can't afford to lose 2 of the 5.25 bays to hard drives.

You're talking about the double 3.5 cage that sits on the lower portion of the case, right?

If so, its moveable along that rail (horizontally). There are four lips which hook into the bottom of the 5" drive cage, and then you secure it with a single bolt.

There is also a hidden 3.5" in the back top of the case (above the aft 92mm)

cheers

So it can be mounted in one the bottom of the 5.25" drive cage....SWEET. Then I am either getting this case of a plexi case from Clear-View Tech. They said that they can make me a variant of this case with 2 120mm fans up front and the back 2 fans replaced with 120mm openings also for about $210...a little on the expensive side but considering the cooling I will get with that badass, not to mention how freaking cool it will look, I think it might be worth it. Although the idea of a SC750A with a huge window is also very appealing. I think the supermicro might be better for neon...damn it now I'm conflicted!!!!!! Oh well the trials and tribulations of being a overclocker who has caught the case mod bug.
