sblive value...can't open audiohq

I am unable to open audiohq. When I double click the icon in control panel, it acts as if its going to open, but never does. But, if I look in task manager under the process tab it is listed. I have uninstalled and re-installed with up to date drivers and software. has anybody else experienced this same issue?

I am running an amd xp 1.5 ghz on a gigobyte mb. I have 1 gig ddr ram and running win2k prof. the sound card is a sblive value. I do have sounds but i am unable to modify the settings.

I had a similar problem on my old PC with XP could not acess AudioHQ at all.

This is what I did, removed the LiveDRV pack update( which I downloaded and kept in a folder)by clicking on it and selecting remove at the options) after reboot ,install the installation CD that came with my SBLive value 1024, reboot, after that reinstalled the LiverDrv pack update and problem fixed (well for me anyway) 🙂.

interesting. Did your install cd have the xp drivers on it? becaue i am installing it on a win2k and the install cd doesn;t have the win2k drivers on it. at any rate i will try couldn't hurt.

My SBLive CD had only 2k drivers(got my SBlive before XP was released),so I just installed the SBLive 2k setup from CD with no problems then updated them as in my last post.
