Ive heard that reducing hardware acceleration in xp can help some of the sound problems with the sblive.. is this true?

I read an article stating the same thing (I think it was a linked article from the 3D Sound Surge website). IMO, as long as you're using WinXP drivers with your sound card, you should leave hardware acceleration at its default setting (which is maximum).

one guy said that reducing latency in bios solved his sound problem but can't verify that it's true!
