I had a Platinum 5.1 in my system and removed it in December in favor of a Audigy. I built a new computer for my daughter and installed it. I installed XP and the necessary software, but can't get the remote to work. It loads and comes up on the screen, but doesn't respond to the remote. I tested and replaced the batteries. The remote works the Audigy, and I checked and re-seated the cables. Any suggestions appreciated. The new system is a P4 1.7 on an MSI 845 Ultra.
 
Yes, I first installed the update from Creative, then tried to install the remote center from the CD, then update the remote center. The normal problems happened, but no matter what I did the remote center wouldn't work.
