Can anyone please help me.
I have upgraded my c533 to a pentium 3 700 and now I keep getting the following blue scrren of death message
fatal Exception at 0028:C16C5A30 in VXD EMU10K1(01)
The screen pops up regularly(I assume when my SV Live accessed) but clears ok when I press any key. I obviously have no sound but I can get rid of these screens by disabling SB live in device manager.
System

P111 700e
maxtor 20gb hard drive

You need to get the latest drivers from Creative. There was some issue with the old ones and CPU's faster than 550

I have finally fixed the problem but a point to note is -

I am in the UK and if you refer to europe as your country of origin you get no driver updates available.

The only way I could do this was to access creative usa and download sbliveup etc, this immediately fixed my problem though not before I had re-formatted my hard drive and given myself about 6 hours work in re-installing, all because creative can't be bothered to acknowledge the problem on the european web ste which they direct you to through their driver search system.
Yet another supplier with p--- p--- service.

Count yourself lucky. You figured it out in 6 hours. It took me two days, and countless reinstalls of win'98. All because I could not believe a 'big' company like creative could make such crappy drivers.
And indeed, I too first searched on the european site, and found nothing. I can't believe they still haven't corrected this! (that would have saved me at least a day!)

The problem was the new coppermine core of the Intel CPU's I believe. Fact remains : creative should pay more attention to it's drivers, and their different websites worldwide.
It's just plain stupid to not update all their websites with the most recent info/drivers at the same time!
