SBC Yahoo! DSL problems

so..... I installed it and it worked and everything.... but I turned of the PC and left for work, came back and it wouldn't connect anymore. All the components were working properly, but it was "unable to establish connection." any help?

[I want to get on my DSL so I can :wackit: 😀]

sbc resets my ip every couple of days sometimes daily

that sucks .. you ask them why?

I have SBC too and i think i've held this ip for about a month now.

Well, I didn't want to do that just yet because they said not to turn off the modem for the 1st 10 days to maximize speed.... should I just do it anyway?

I doubt that's the problem though

i havent had good luck with adsl

every time i talk to sbc the local phone provider (sbc) blames the adsl provider (sbc) and vice versa

thats the real problem with adsl they leave the customer to deal with 2 different aspects of a company that doesnt communicate with each other

i had better carefree luck with cable modem when i was with time warner
