It seems like you have 30 days to agree to terms and conditions.
But customer reps doesn't seems to agree with that...
What can we do?

did anybody order their "wireless package" for $50 extra? my GF did, and receive the package today. but there was no wireless ethernet card for her desktop, just a pci ethernet card. unless i've mistaken and that card is a wireless card. but it looked just like a normal, wired card to me, with a jack for the ethernet plug. did they send her the wrong package? the lable on the box says "HomePortal 1000SW", the modem is a "2Wire" brand that i've never heard of.
by the way, the package included the '2WIRE' HomePortal modem, 5 line filters, and a PCI ethernet card along with some documentation. and the docs make no special description of what a PCI wireless card should look like.
can somebody confirm or deny that she receive the wireless package?
thanks much for your help

I just got my SBC Yahoo! DLS ($29/mo. for the 1st yr.) last Thursday, I just switched from Cable (Road Runner @ $45/mo. !!! ). It seems similar to Cable speeds for UL/DL, Web pages seem to fill in a little faster on my DSL.
During the setup, it helps to be a bit of a techie (I've been working with computers professionaly since 1985). The free/self installation may be a bit tricky for a few people (they should know who they are), but I think just about anybody can follow the installation instructions to get it to work.
My DSL connection is more delicate than my Cable connection was. After I signed up w/ SBC's software I removed all of the SBC software and hooked it up to my SMC Baracade 7004ABR Router, it logs in for me and keeps the connection alive. My PCs just use the Network (no special software) to get to the Internet.
The DSL TCP/IP address has changed at least once a day (what a pain, I connect to my PC from work frequently).
I'm able to either use the Web to get my e-mail or my Eudora client, but I still have not gotten Eudora to SEND and e-mail through SBC (again, what a pain), I'll tinker w/ it tonight again.
Downloading from the News server seems to be a little bit slower, but I had a P2P client downloading 5 huge files at a total of about 200 Kbps at the same time I was testing the News server (so it may actually be faster).
All in all, I'm saving $15/mo. for service similar to my Road Runner Cable service.
I hope this helps anybody who is thinking of switching.
How long does it take from the time you order it...to activation? Also do you really have to install the SBC software at all? is that the only way to register? I know you don't need that PPPoE stuff if you have a router (i've got a linksys BEFSR41). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
