I just got off the phone with SBC. You probably already know that if you go through Dell, there is and additional $100 rebate on the $26.95 deal. Dell Home states $26.95 for one year and then it goes to $49.95 (along with a free modem and no activation fee, etc.). However, the SBC person I talked to told me that there is currently another promotion that allows the rate to lock at $26.95 indefinately if you use SBC for long distance. I jumped on that deal!

If you go to SBC Yahoo's Home Page and follow the "Learn about DSL" link, you'll see that the 26.95/month for 1 year deal is an ongoing promotion. Its been on for a few months if I'm not wrong! :D

Either way, its a good deal. Some people complain about sbc but I haven't had any major problems with them at all.

Computergasms info is new. I will stay with SBC if I can get 1.5 dsl for $26.95 indefinitely. Is this deal limited to 384, or does it included the standard plus? Does SBC charge a monthly for their long distance. I do not use long distance, do not want to pay a monthly for not calling.
