SB750 and raid 0

Anandtech had an article like really long ago about onboard raid 0 and game loading times. Things have changed though, and this article shows pretty big improvements with a RocketRaid 3520-controller: http://www.techwarelabs.com/ar...d-gaming/index_4.shtml

Now, I would like to know if I will see similar results when running a raid 0 configuration with the raidcontroller provided by the SB750, on a 790gx motherboard for example. Dual disks will do, 2 seagate 500gb single platter hdd's. And how will this affect my cpu, which will most likely be a phenom II 940?

I did some googling btw, but really no luck on benchmarks with raid 0 configs on a SB750 mobo and game loading times.

Send me two of those 500gb seagates and I'll tell you. 🙂

All I have are 2 200GB 7200.7's.

Well, if you could tell about your performance experience with 2 other hard drives, I'd be pretty happy as well. No matter the hard drive used, they will most likely scale the same.

I can take a look I suppose, however it would involve reformatting and reinstalling everything (which I will be doing in a few days when I get some new hardware in anyway).
