I just rebuild my machine with Windows XP Pro SP2. After a little while computer started rebooted for some reason. I went to Event Viewer and found a lot of errors like that:
" Source sb2port. Event ID: 9. The device, , did not respond within the timeout period."
I searched on GOOGLE and everyting is poitning to that I have a problem with firewire device/card that I'm using to connect my iPod. Be honest I don't know how to solve the problem.
Here's my specs:
CPU: P4 2.8GHz
RAM: 2GB
OS: Windows XP Pro w/SP2

I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks.

What firewire card is it? Since you've taken the time to find out what part seems to be causing the trouble it might be an idea to tell us what part that is exactly ... ;)

Got the latest drivers for it?

Edit: Please tell me it's not a creative labs soundblaster 2? Possibly the buggiest thing since antfarms became uncool?
