sb x-fi optical input

I have my xbox360 hooked up to my optical input on my x-fi drive bay, but i can't hear any sound. Is there something i'm overlooking to enable this input? I only have the drivers installed, not any of the extra bundled software.
 
I'm pretty sure you have to use some sort of software that uses the Creative WDM drivers to take advantage of audio inputs. I don't think the X-FI will just pass sound from the 360 to your speakers.
 
I figured. I'm playing around with vista. I just installed the extra software in compatibility mode but only half of it actually runs.

ok i figured it out, im an idiot. I didnt see the scroll bar that lets me enable spdif passthrough
