Hey guys im noob to this forum.

Anyways i recently got SB live! value card off a friend and i'm trying to set it up for surround sound. I know the card is old so bare with me. Umm when i go into the "audio hq" setup, it only lets choose headphones, 2 spkrs, or 4 spkrs? How do i enable 5.1?

 
You can't. Only the SB Live! 5.1 is 5.1 capable. The Value and 1024 variants are only capable of 4 channel sound.
 
There's like 8 zillion versions of the SBLive floating around. Your's is probably an older version or an OEM variant of some type.
 
Most onboard audio solutions are better and more evolved than SBLive now, so if your board has 5.1 capability I'd free the pci slot and use it. I will issue the disclaimer that since sound is subjective my opinoin is to be taken as such, a subjective one 🙂
