Shoot, I won one of the Platinums last year at Comdex. Can't make it this year...Go to their show and you'll most likely win one.
 
Wish I could pick one up at that price, Does the CES show have computer equipment? I don't remember seeing any when I went a couple years ago.

CreativeLabs were in CES Show last year, special at that time was Desktoptheather DTT2500 for $149 (retail $299).

Yes, It's Creative Lab Platium 5.1 Channels
It comes with Live-Drive II and Remote.


You can only purchase it at Comdex only.
Just simply walk to Creative's Information desks at SAND's Expo
and ask about the &quot;Ordering Form&quot;. The stuffs will
ask you to fill the form and turn it to Creative's Main Desk.

That's it. 🙂

Creative did have booth at CES this year (Jan 2000).
It was at Las Vegas Convention Center.
But, I don't remember they had sale at CES. 🙁

I am going CES next year, too. I will let you guys
know if they do have sales.

 
What I'm wondering is, what info is required? Cuz if all they're asking for is name, shipping addy, comdex pass #, email, and cc#, I could fill those out for people as long as they give me their info (which some have!)

They do suck but I want the Live Drive2, which by itself costs $50 and the game package which retails for more than $80. I can always sell the card since I don't like the Live cards (I had one).

Can I ask a silly question, can anyone (I heard only people in the Industry can go) go to the Comdex? I am heading over that area on Friday and would love to stop over and pick one of those sweet Platinum cards up, not to mention the whole place will be filled with my favorite things.
 

I just came back from Comdex yesterday. Great deal.

As mentioned above, $99 for SB Live 5.1 Platinum (w/ live drive 2)
and all goodies -- Shipping is $6.5 + tax.

The order form just need your name/address/credit card. That's
all. 4-6 weeks to deliever. Each person can purchase a maximum
of 3 cards.

As for Comdex registration, anyone can go (over 18? or 21).
If you register early, it is free. Show up at the door,
it will cost you $$$50?. (go check their website)

Just out of curiosity, can you bring in a camera to take pictures of the exhibits? Also any recommendations? Thanks!
 
I just got back. Buy the Lives early in the day. Then go back and buy more @ the end of the day. They ask for billing/shipping/cc info, swipe your cc, and you're good.
Cameras are allowed, but some booths won't let u take pics. I tried to get a pic of the new nokia cell phone, then a guy rushes over and covers my lens and says &quot;no pics in this booth.&quot; So just be careful where u take your pics. I'm sure more booths won't mind. Don't forget to take pics of the hotties.

At which point it I say that I wanted to make profit on the package? Why don't you go read? I said that I wanted the Live drive and the game package which if bought separately would cost a hella lot. Since I already own a 5.1 card already why would I keep the card that comes in the package hanging around? Maybe I should place it on my mantle until my Santa Cruz stops working. When I get the card and the 5.1 software decoder for the Live is better than the Santa Cruz then I may get rid of it. It's my call to make.
