SB LIVE 5.1 X-Gamer ....WinME Drivers...WHERE??

I found SB Live drivers for WinMe on Creatives site but it say theyre not for 5.1 cards.

When I use my installation cd that came with the card , WinMe says theyre not comapatable with my "device".

I installed them anyway & they work, but I get hesitations (pauses) in games due to sound.

So where the heck are the official SB Live 5.1 drivers for WinMe??

Yep, and the drivers they have for download say

That's strange...I just did some looking around and can't find drivers for any of the Live! 5.1 cards under W9x or ME. All they have listed for any of them is Play Center and a few other applications. Maybe an e-mail to customer support is in order? Sorry I can't be of much more help than this.

I know, I used to run WinMe on my pc. (the one in my sig)

I dont recall having trouble finding drivers before I moved my system to WinXp.

So now Im wondering.

What SB Live driver is everyone else using for their SB Live 5.1 in WinMe?

Any help out there guys?

Well, I moved to WinXP instead.

But I did swap a SB Live value out of one of my other pcs for the SB 5.1 in WinMe & it worked fine with Creatives SB LIVE VALUE WinME drivers.

I still cant believe theres no SB Live 5.1 drivers for WinMe.
Thats just stupid!

Oh well, that problem is solved.

Now I need to get my GF2 Ultra running right in WinXp.

But thats another topic. 😉

I was under the impression that the drivers were embedded in the remote center or the Playcenter updates and that they did not have a location to download "just the drivers".
