I've had my Live! 5.1 Digital Entertainment card for awhile now, but have been waiting to install it for when I got my new HD (which was today) and do fresh install of Win2k. I have a driver disk for the card, but as soon as it hit the install button it gives me some type of illegal error although it keeps installing the software then I get 2 more illegal errors but the program completly installs and I restart. When I get back into windows all thats coming out of my speakers is a loud WHINING noice for every sound my computer makes. So I figured that it was the drivers so I searched all night and these (can anyone else get these to install) looked like my best bet, although I can't get any other drivers to install than the ones of my BUGGY cd. If anyone has any input at all on how to get this to work I would REALLY appreciate it. I don't really care if the 5.1 works as long as i have SOUND!

Where did you plug your spakers in?

Has your DVD/CD ROM drivers got problems reading that CD? Those drivers work very well. I have used them and they install well.

Ok I was up till 5 am got it working. Heres what I did, I download LiveWare 3.0 and began the install then extracted the drivers to the install directory audio\english\wdmdrv, then I selected "Install Driver Only" restarted and it WORKS! Praise the lord!
