I will not watch a Tom Hanks movie.

I like a lot of Mel Gibson movies (Lethal Weapon(s), Mad Max(s), Payback), except for crap like Braveheart, Signs, What Wimmin Want and Passion.

His only movie that I liked was Payback, even though it was cheezy it had a good ending. And Ransom was ok. Everything else I didn't like much (yes, Braveheart too).

Tom Hanks is in another league compared to Gibson, and I like both actors greatly. So.. why won't you watch a Tom Hanks movie?

You do realize he doesn't make movies like Money Pit and Bachelor Party anymore, right? If you want to miss gems like SPR, Philadelphia, Apollo 13, Cast Away, Green Mile, and Forrest Gump because Hanks is in them then be my guest, but it's your lost.

As for calling Braveheart "crap"... it's your opinion so obviously I can't call you wrong, so all I will say is many people would disagree with you on that one.

So what if he can act? There are dozens, perhaps hundreds of actors who are as good or better than he is as actors. It's not like we're talking about roman polanski type talent here where you can forgive his sins because he is unique in the world.

His sins? Polanski had sex with a 13 year old. Gibson said stuff when he was drunk. That comparison is beyond ridiculous. And I'm Jewish.

And if there are hundreds of actors who are better than Gibson, where the hell are they? I'm sure agencies would want their numbers. Give them a call, there may be some commissions in it for you.

Money Pit and Bachelor Party were Tom Hanks' good movies. I find everything else he's done sappy and un-entertaining.

Not only did he assault the underaged girl but he fled to Paris to avoid prosecution. I'm getting off-topic I guess. Mel rocks in his movies (except for We Were Soldiers).

Ya know, if Mel's in it, I'll probably like it. Other than Bird on a Wire, there's not really any Mel Gibson movies I didn't like. And some I loved, Braveheart, all Mad Maxes, Lethal Weapon 1 and 2.

God Bless Mel Gibson, and let's be real here, who among us hasn't gotten drunk and ripped on Jews or called women sugar tits. Those who lives in glass houses shouldn't cast stones.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that some Jews probably don't get drink on rip on Jews..

Everyone has called a woman 'sugar tits' at least once in their lives.

Hey "sugar utters"

I didn't say their sins were equal, I merely said that gibson's were not able to be overlooked just because he's a halfway decent actor. Being a decent actor is not a unique thing. Polanski makes films that no one else can. The film world would be worse off if he hadn't ever made a film again after his incident. I probably should have said "overlooked" instead of forgiven. I do think polanski deserves jail time for what he did, regardless of whether he is psychologically damaged from the manson family's acts. If Gibson disappeared off the face of the planet, it wouldn't matter much to the film world.

As for where good actors are, try watching something other than crap like the patriot and you might find them. For that matter, watch the patriot and pay attention to heath ledger who is easily gibson's equal. His best acting work was probably in Hamlet, and you can barely throw a stone in London without finding extremely talented shakespearian actors.

Signs simply sucked. Boring, philosophical bullshit (the people who don't believe in miracles feel alone at the apocalypse. WTF). Not to mention the charater's actions made no sense. OMG Aliens are coming, so let's board up the windows. While we're at it, let's NOT get any weaponry to defend ourselves, and when the attic door is about to burst, lets just stand there and stare at it for 2 minutes.
