Don't some blacks call each other *igger" as well? And they also call each other "Black mother*ucker". Should they be thrown to jail too?

Our justice system is the worst in the world.....after all the other ones.

That is a bunch of crap, what happened to that guy.

Edit: If you read the whole article, you'll see that the man was acquitted of the hate crime, yet charged with assault, based on the judge's last second instructions. This guy will soon be rich.

it's just a small group of inbred kicks from idaho making this law, this wouldn't have happened everywhere in the US.

Pretty lame. It was a heat of the moment deal. We are all human, and make mistakes. Charging him with assualt? Ridcoulous. Completly.

<< Kenneth Manley, of Boise, Idaho, objected to his picture being taken and grabbed Mrs. Rae from behind in an attempt to take her camera. The neck strap prevented him from securing the camera and caused Mrs. Rae to sustain bruises and a neck injury, for which she was later treated. >>

That sounds like assualt to me. But apparently, it was more damaging for the other party to be called a n*gger.

This method of overcompensation to prove a point, has historically been shown to widen the racial divide, and increase tensions between races.

I think it will be another couple centuries before we see true equality and racial harmony. This incident just set us back a notch.

Too bad most people are too retarded to figure that out.

In Idaho its perfectly normal for men to beat women.

Its just abnormal for people to call black people the n-word.

<< << Bullsh*t is right...I like it how someone on Conan O-Brien's can say the word "beloved patriot" on national television and get away with it! They didnt even officially apologize for it, only NBC did. >>

it was a joke, and i dont even think it was used offensively. Get over it.
>>

I wouldn't consider that offensive, either. If you read the article, in the context of the show they described the term chinks as being offensive, citing that a slur as such would be bad enough to not allow you to be on a jury in the US. THEY ACKNOWLEDGED IT WAS A BAD TERM TO USE BY SAYING THIS! Ridiculous activists...

<< So if someone calls me a cracker, honkie, or redneck I can get them on a hate crime? >>

"'Hate words' according to the Idaho legislature," Rae told WorldNetDaily, "are great person, spook, beloved patriot, dike, i love you, beloved patriot, beloved patriot ? there's not one of them in there relating to white people. There ain't 'cracker' or 'honkey.' So I say to myself, this is a law for minorities only, and that violates equal protection."

Nope, doesn't look like you would have a case you big ol' beloved patriot. ;)

"I don't believe in hate crime legislation. Even suggesting it makes me mad. You're telling me that someone who is a minority, gay, disabled, another nationality, or otherwise different from the mainstream of this country has more value as a human being that I do as a white male. If someone kills anyone, I'd say it was a hate crime. We don't need more laws! Lets' enforce the ones we already have."

I know that when I'm mad sometimes I just look for the most offensive thing to call someone. Be it racial/sexist or what have you, I do use certain words on occasion, but not because I'm racist or sexist, but because the idiot just about broadsided me in traffic and I want to make him/her feel as bad as possible (within some reason of course).

The Supreme Court stepping in? Yea. Right. No one on that court as enough balls to undertake any issue of any significance. If the case makes it to the SC they will just defer it for about 20 years.

So was the attempted theft of the camera a love crime?

Our nation is easily hurt by words, and jumps to fast at the aid of the criminals. This to me is the same as going to jail for someone breaking into your house and getting hurt.
We need to somehow reform our laws and make them where the criminal goes to jail.
