yeah, but last time I heard, the constitution doesn't say anywhere that people have the right to not be offended. I personally do not use that language, and this guy probably doesn't either, but this ref grabbed his friggen wife by the neck. When you get emotional, things come out.

yes this is an unfair law. it is designed to protect the minorities...

to me, hate crimes are just redundant... you can hate someone without race being involved.

it does looks like that guy use that kind of language often by the way he's presenting himself... having some colored people as friends doesn't make you a non-racist either.

well, by that example, let me see if i understand life in Adams County, Idaho:

a man goes to jail for hurting someone's feelings.

a man goes free for hurting someone physically.

hmm...well, i think if i was a well-spoken mugger, i could find a nice life for myself in Adams County, Idaho.

I think the idea of legislating people's thoughts is completely abhorrent. I'm black (well, half), and while the N-word does bother me, I certainly wouldn't want someone jailed for saying it. Especially if I had just attacked his wife. WTF is that? If someone commits a crime, charge them for the CRIME, not for what they were thinking at the time. That's complete BS.

Gods, I hate the PC revolution that's spread in this country. We're SO afraid that someone else might suffer "psychological damage" that we've willingly (some of us) given up our right to think and say what we wish.

Crap like this makes the framers of the Constitution roll over in their graves, I've no doubt.
