if nj is so bad, why has the population grown so much lately? why is it the most densely populated stated in the US. why does it have the highest income per capita (For those who haven't figured it out, this indicates that the people living here could choose to live somewhere else).

btw, Gamerexpress, quit knocking North Jersey.

but, hey, it's great that most of you idiots buy the "reputation" of NJ. it keeps people like you out.

Dude North Jersey is what gives South Jersey a bad rep. I used to work in North Jersey, and well I must say it's pretty nasty. North Jersey does have some wonderful parts to it, the problem is the only parts people see is the area when traveling through the state.

So that's it. I've lived in a few states and been to a few in my life time, but NJ is the only state where I've had a negative experience there every time I've been there. I mean I was in the state for about 10 min. once and still managed to have a sh!tty time while there. Not just not having a good time, but a full blown "I hate this state" moment.
So your sole reason to rag on New Jersey is because you keep coming after having a negative experience. What is that, dog shat on your shoes? Racially profiled on the Turnpike? Craphole expectations not met?

But you know what they say about idiocy -- doing the same thing over and over, expecting something different to happen each time.

And BTW: Edison.

(meant in humor, but then again, not)

I avoid the state as much as I can, but as people have said earlier in the thread, it's next to some nice places.

Well actually I think I prefer people like you stay out. I was just thinking if there were people like you who moved here, we probably wouldn't rank so high in the area of intelligence and income.

It seems you have only seen North Jersey, yep it does suck agree. The area I live in is wonderful, you bash the state and say it's full of rich people??? I will take being wealthy and living in a wealthy area anyday over being poor and disgruntled. I don't know what areas you are refering to when you say "it's next to some nice places", do you mean Philly and New York City??? If that's what you mean please ask the millions who work in Philly and New York City why they call New Jersey there home.

I'm happy that you're wealthy and living in a wealthy area. Congratulations you on your affluence. Well done, my friend.

I?ll work on keeping poor disgruntled souls such as myself out of your great wealthy state. God knows you wouldn?t want us poor and disgruntled souls walking your streets of gold. You New Jerseyians?New Jerseyites?New Jersanese? great and wealthy denizens of the great and wealthy state of New Jersey surely have come up with a clever plan to keep those unwanted poor and uncouth people out of the state. Make the most visible parts of it look and smell like a garbage dump and hide your solid gold statues, and platinum yachts hidden in some secret location that no vagabond, hermit, hobo, or riffraff from impoverished states like Massachusetts and Arkansas would ever stumble upon them. Yes, keep those destitute Californians from seeing the glory of New Jersey. Hide its vast caverns filled diamonds from the world. I know it must suck when those damn Hawaiians move into your city. You have to pack up your bags of money and move to a different neighborhood because?well there goes the property value.

Do you go swimming in your vault like Scrooge Mcduck?
:p

To you asshat, I find it strange that you go on this rant. I think you must have something very hidden and deep to resent NJ.

I think what is happening here is that you maybe dated someone from the state. I am guessing this woman or actually man in your case must have wronged you, now you have it in for the whole state.

You know what I think would be a good idea for you, come around here and start talking trash about the state of NJ. I have a better idea, come on out to our beautiful city of Camden and hold up a sign that says "NJ Sucks". I think you will go places if you do that.

Now please shutup about a state you know nothing about and go back to being an idiot with your Yankee buddies up in Mass.

Are the great and wealthy citizens of Camden going to have me beaten up by their butlers, maids, and solid gold bartending robot monkeys if I say New Jersey sucks?

ROFL, you have just proven your idiocy. Camden is the city across the Delaware River from Philly. Camden is known as the most unsafe city in the U.S. You obviously have shown how little you know about NJ, and yet you still think you have the right to bash it. Go ahead keep on bashing it, your little opinion means nothing since you obvious know nothing of the state at all.

Take a trip into Camden one day like I suggested, I am sure you will have a good time.

And you know this bit of information how???

I live here and I never heard that one.

It is true. Many people buy heroin here and o/d. It's supposedly way more pure than heroin from other parts of the country. In some cities there are warnings posted for the junkies so they won't die faster than they want to.

I'm from North Jersey, Morris County area, btw. I think it;s really pretty nice. I have a nice piece of property in a nice town with good schools. Taxes suck, though.

New Jersey isn't all bad. It isn't all good either. But seriously, what state is all good or all bad? None. Every state has its good points and bad points. Its all about point of view.

True New Jersey can be a bad place. I've seen it. I see it every other year. My dad's side of the family has been living in NJ for generations. My great-grandfather was mayor of Newark. My grandparents and relatives continue to live there to this day. We always joke about the beach because it is no Florida, and the NJ Turnpike sucks terribly. The pizza and delis are great. I've seen the places my dad grew up in the Shorthills/Milburn/Chatham area and it is nice. It reminded me of a Norman Rockwell village. I'd definitely live there if I could afford it. Parts of NJ are trashy and bad too. We almost got mugged and carjacked in Elizabeth. It is not perfect, but you find your comfortable niche or you move.

Unless you live in a perfect utopian state, one that doesn't exist in these United States, shut the hell up and stop this juvenile state pissing-match...

My two cents.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I can't think of ONE reason why NJ deserves to exist.
