Say goodbye to Amex Blue Price Matching

Amex has decided to withdraw the best value guarantee program off the Blue card. This program will be available on Gold, Platinum and Centurion cards only.

I had called them today and they told me that this change would take effect from May 1. So unless you have one of their annual fee based cards, this is your last month to use up this service.

Lol, why don't you point out this post to a moderator to lock instead of getting your knickers into a knot about this? This is a moderated site isn't it?

<< Say goodbye to this repost 😀 >>

LOL! 🙂

BTW - Even though BVG is available some of the fee based AMEX cards, the BVG TOS for those cards is changing drastically so it may not be worthwile to switch until you review the changes.🙁

Jeez, who piddled in your Post Toasties this morning? Yes, this is a repost, but that is no reason to be so rude to the guy. Especially after someone else already posted a suitable reponse.

Serpent - it helps to do a quick search before you post to make sure someone hasn't already posted the same thing. Edit your title to reflect a repost so the mods can lock/delete it.

ya dumbass, don't be such a clod. That's been posted like 83838483 times. Search before you post you skank

I was under the impression that this kind of thread crapping was not tolerated by the mods.

What a bizarre coincidence....I just got off the phone with Amex and they are willing to cancel my Blue card and move its Credit Limit to an Optima Platinum card. Optima Platinum still has the BVG and many other benefits Blue does not. If you hold a Blue Card you should call Amex and ask to have this done.......a couple comments.....

1) if you have a balance on Blue, they will transfer the remainder of your credit limit only to a new card, then cancel your Blue Card leaving you to pay your Blue balance and issuing you a new card. Example: If you have 4000 credit limit, with a 500 balance they will issue you a new card with a 3500 credit limit and you will still owe 500 on your Blue card which will be closed and you can no longer use.

2) they offered me this with an Optima Platinum card....you will most likely need a low balance, high credit limit, good credit history overall, and an excellent credit history with Amex. (Optima Platinum has no annual fee!)

Try it!!!!! BVG here I come!!!!!
