Saw

well I saw this movie the other day, and I would STRONGLY recommend this movie to anyone who likes horror/psychological thrillers. this movie is just brilliant. my brother and I walked out of the theatre more satisfied from a movie than either of us have in a VERY VERY long time. i honestly can't remember a movie that I walked out with a big grin on my face as I did with this one.

the movie is not nearly as gruesome as the hype made it out to be, although there were some parts that are down right hard to watch, due to the fact of what is actually happening, not necessarily what they are showing.

also, the acting in this movie is pretty terrible. but hey, what would a horror movie be without bad acting?

this movie DEFINITELY gets 5/5 stars from me, GO SEE IT!!!

Yeah, the movie pushed a lot of new ground and was great, EXCEPT for the one scene where Cary Elwes goes really really over-the-top dramatic and it sounds like "broke-a$$ shakespeare". I forget what he says but its a bunch of crap like "I would never lie to you" and whatever... the entire audience was laughing pretty loud at that point when I saw it.

Besides the acting, the movie was great. I wanted to punch something (cary elwes) so bad after the movie was over because it would have been one of the best movies of the genre if it wasnt for that scene.

id love to.
but i think im going to have to wait for it on dvd...i need the control over pausing it because of my intense anxiety problems.
actually, to be honest, my anxiety has never once been a problem while watching a film...but when these internet trailers came out for this movie, i was so full of tension watching them i almost vomited.
new experience! yeah!
but yeah, i really want to see it.

If they would have shown that scene, it would have been Rated NC-17.

All these horor movies are mostly st*pid.

yea my brother told me they cut out stuff so it would not be nc-17, which means i cant wait for a DVD.

however, thsi movie was by no means stupid ... and why did you put a star in there like it was a bad word lol?

I liked it too. I agree with everyone that the overacting at the end was funny (a bad thing). The ending redeemed it. Lion Gate knows how it pick em.
