Saw two hawks attacking a crow this morning

I don't know if the crow was their breakfast or just chasing it away from their nest. As I left my apartment I heard a crow crying out like mad. I looked up and there was a hawk right on its tail. All of a sudden another hawk dive bombed the crow from the top but missed it by inches. That kind of threw off the hawk that was chasing so the crow had a few seconds to get the hell out of there. It would have been fvcking sweet if the hawk snatched the crow on that dive bomb.
