saw the slowest car ever at the track today

it was a stock looking 92-95 or so 4 door civic, it ran something like 20 secs @ 68 mph. It was funny cause this guy in the stands stood up like mortal kombat and screamed "AUTOMATIC!"

I mean sometimes cars break stuff running down the track, but usually you can tell cause you hear a bang and/or see jerking/shuddering. But this car just crawled down the track evenly so I don't think anything broke.

That's nothing. I floored my friend's 89ish Civic from a light. I let off the gas 30 seconds later, after it hit the redline for the 2nd time (reset at 4k rpms the first time). I was doing 55mph.

I can do a 1/4 on my bicycle iin under 20.

that guy has balls for doing that tho. He had to have gotten razzed :p

My good friend used to work on the Formula Car team at MTU. :evil:

I didn't make the qualifications for driver though. Not a US citizen. :(
