I hope his cameo involves him running in with a bomb strapped to his chest, killing everyone and ending the F&F franchise.

A typical plot of a bad Hollywood movie:

Whitey goes to a foreign country and has no clue about the country and its culture/people.
Whitey somehow miraculous becomes great at something he never done before within a short period of time.
Whitey beats the local badboy/crimelord/fill in the blank without a sweat.
Whitey wins the heart and mind of the local people and gets the best looking local chick easily.
Of course you will have a token black dude, some other meaningless characters and action to fill out the 2 hrs.
THE END.

And they wonder why the movie attendance is down.

Agreed. Hollywood movies are becoming sh!tter and sh!tter. Most are so clean cut, full of good looking people and contrived it's pathetic. All these retarded teenage movies, and spoof teenage movies... they're so laughably weak and so obviously a money-maker rather than the quality output of a passionate artist. Further, so many are jingoistic to the point of stimulating nausia... I mean, some films even fade out with a shot of the stars and stripes. It's like a north Korea propaganda video.
Granted, there are still many good movies coming from the US, but there seems to be this divide: a chasm between an actual decent movie and then polished turd movies which you can predict *everythign*, even the sub plots, within 5 or 10 minutes.

No... I like to try different movies from around the world. South Korea have some good movies (albeit dark) and I've enjoyed many Europen films. I like to have to think about a movie and maybe watch it a couple of times.

The "experts" liked it.

The cream of the crop writers give it a 60% fresh rating, which should account for something.

And regarding the last comment, there have ALWAYS been a LOT of really bad movies. Go find some random movies from the 60's-80's (not the "top ones") and the production quality of those movies are absolutely HORRID. Aside from time and value differences from then and now, the acting was MUCH worse, and the whole idea behind movie theory was not as enveloped as it is now. People just happen to see some bad movies from today, while ignoring some of the very great ones out there, and automatically conclude that movies are getting worse and worse..and it in turn makes them feel superior as a movie elitist to criticize lowbrow films.

And what recent movie has faded out with a stars and stripes?

I mean seriously when you can't even get Paul Walker to come star in it you know it is going to be bad...

That's what I told my wife when we saw the trailer a few months ago.

I expected to suffer through 'Running Scared' but it wasn't that bad. This surprised me because Mr. Fast and Furious, Paul Walker, is on the cover of the DVD.

The first one was fun. The second one stunk because Vin Deisel made the show and he wasn't in the second one. The third one has none of the original characters from what I can tell...that should definately tell you something about the movie 😀
