Could've been much, much worse.

They could have been encouraging their kids to cheat on school assignments.

Lets worry about a few grapes missing from the store. The seagulls will notice the ones missing when the crates of unsold grapes get tossed in the dumpster. We wouldn't want to worry about the all the different ways we get fucked for real due to institutional corruption or anything...

husband and wife took grapes from the bag, ate a few, and fed their kid some too. wtf. that is theft and one reason why grape prices are high.

should i have said something to them or to management? i hope security busts them on the way out
I asked the produce guy at Publix about it. He told me they want you to sample the grapes first. That way you do not have bad experience with purchasing their offerings.

There's a clause in the H1-B Visa:
....that if anyone is caught stealing fresh produce, saffron or curry powder from a supermarket, they will be deported via container ship to the most war torn African country at the time of violation.
It's written. It's fact.

Go to the Walmart Manager and ask for a video time stamp up to where they check out. The credit card purchase can then trace them back to their cubicle or server warehouse where they work.

The US Marshall and ATF agents can then take over from there.

So get going!

You have lots of work to do!

Why they eating grapes out of the bag? Don't you wash them first to get rid of the crap/pesticides on it? That's the main concern!

It's not racist if it's true. Damn Indians have been taking our stuff since day one. Deport them back to India where they belong.

lol...threads like this always pull the special ones out of the woodwork

Yeah after the big ecoli breakout (the workers were found to be taking shits on your lettuce) I'm gonna pass on eating any unwashed produce.

being a snitch is not cool. snitch on this kind of stuff is not worth getting face and credit.

if you want face and credit snitch on someone that breaks in someones individual propeties.

all you can do is just say to you self is "hey they so low stealing food at a store haha" but not worth to snitch cause snitch is losing you own pride llike a taeler tell.

the grapes are sold per pound. :colbert: heaven forbid you ever agree with me on anything :\

its the same as those that drink soda while shopping and pay for the empty can. its stealing. there are stories of folks getting arrested for this 'habit'

If they are being sold by weight vs container; I agree with you.

Which is why I implied that clarification was needed. The use of bag can indicate a pre-packaged item vs bulk grapes being placed into a store provided produce bag. You did not clarify

Many times grapes come in a bag. the bag can be opened but it is bar coded for a set price.

I can understand sampling one or two grapes to test the flavor and consistency - the stores expect that when put out loose.
to take 3-4 for each person exceeds planned generosity.

In that situation; I would have recommended that you notify the produce clerk and/or store manager and let them handle it.

someone opening a can of soda drinking it in the store, but paying for the can is a different story. they intend on paying for the item. Hiding the empty can would then be stealing

If they wanted to sample the grapes, then why not grab a few (only one parent needs to sample), sample it, and decide to buy or pass. The fact that they gave some to the kids verify that they are indeed thieves, and should be prosecuted accordingly..

2) might of been one of my uncles or cousins. couldnt do that to a fellow indian. you, otoh, i'd report
One of the most racist things, ever. You wouldn't report someone who looks Indian, but you would report someone of any other ethnicity.

Again, fuck you.

Sorry to be so frank. I wouldn't even allow my own family to get away with something if I felt it was wrong. Why would I want my family to freely take advantage of others and develop a bad reputation for doing it?

Well: You did, and you both attributed it to and justified it with their race.

It could be because of their race. A lot of people keep old customs when they come over, and sampling produce may be a custom. I saw a Turk trying to bargain with a KFC counter girl once. He gave a champion effort, but she wasn't budging on the price :^D
