Saw Seth Macfarlane Tonight

So at UVM tonight, for the class of 2005, they got Seth Macfarlane to come and talk about family guy. We got there about 7:30 and the show started at 7. Seth did a very brief talk about himself and the show and then said that he was going to play a couple of minutes from the new EP. But he said that "the damn thing was on the internet already" and played the entire EP The crowed cringed so bad at the pinacco scene and just died in laughter throughout. After which he answered questions for a hour and a half and signed autographs at the end. About 2,500 people showed up which was pretty cool. Seth did say to please watch the EP even if you already downloaded it to help him out.

BTW - I know theres a good amount of family guy threads already, but after seeing Seth in person, I thought he deserved one more

even though ive already seen it, i will definitely support the show and watch it again when it airs this sunday. unless i have a few too many boddingtons and forget. just to be safe, somebody watch it on 2 tv's to pick up my slack. tyia.

After seeing it 3 times now, I thought it was damn funny.

The questions that were asked of Seth was extremely funny. This one kid who looked like some sort of drug dealer didnt even get to ask his question and Seth yelled out "We all know who you get your pot from now" and then pointed at the kid. Seth also had several good looking girls ask him out. Once again he is the man.

I'm in the same boat, I really like Family Guy but am probably a bigger fan of Futurama. They definately need to bring that show back and either fix or retire the Simpsons, the after so many years the jokes seem to be getting stale and really great episodes seem rare lately. Futurama was just getting into full swing when it was canceled and its theme and setting allow for far more possibilities for ideas and jokes.

We definately need new episodes so Adult Swim can have all "fresh" stuff for their 11pm-2am hour time slots. New Family Guy is nice, new Family Guy AND Futurama would be sweet.

Better? Meh, its probably funnier on average, but some of the themes and one liners are better with Futurama. The time skipping episode is priceless. "53 years old?! Aww, now I'll need a fake ID to rent ultra-porn."
