Saw my first Cadillac XLR today :)

I couldn't tell what it was and I kept staring at it. I hate that, because the guy was like "Yeah, I know I'm the man.", but I had to keep staring anyway. Looks pretty nifty. $75k msrp. details It's very nice looking, but vastly underpowered with a weight of 3600 and a mere 320 horsepower for a two seater sports car that costs this much!

Domestics really do look better than imports. Not just with this car, but chrysler's new crossfire and 300c just look better than their japanese counterparts 🙂 Course, Japan didn't make the asstek 😛

yeah, but have you seen a new prius? add plastic body armor and paint it like an asstek and you'd probably have to do a double take to figure out that it isn't an asstek
 
Nice looking car. It looks way better than the SC430. I don't think it looks as good as an SL, though, or even a Jag XK or a 911.
 
I've seen a few in person and honestly, pictures do that car no justice. I think its one of the sexiest cars on the road. /waits for GM bashers to flame

I have to agree. I've seen a silver one on the road before but would love to see the electron blue or whatever color it is. The silver one was just stunning, I love that car.
 
Awesome car. Sh!tty price.

I don't care if it is intended to compete with Lexus or Mercedes blah blah blah models. It's a $70,000+ Caddilac roadster.

The CTS-V nips at the heels of the $70,000+ M5 but is only priced at the M3 level.

Correct. It's right in competition w/ the SL500, and I'm fairly sure its quicker than that car, while coming in for less $$. I saw my 1st one (black) about 3 days ago and I couldn't get over how good it looked on the road.
 
I saw a hot asian chick driving a brand new black one on the 405... with the top down... in the middle of the afternoon... with traffic really crawling... man my jaw dropped at that scene - HAHA

They were both just hot.

Don't worry I heard within five years GM and FORD will move all production out of USA to China and if you manage to still have a job they'll be much more affordable.

i wouldnt call it a sh!tty price, i would call it a price that caddillac wants on it to make it seem eliteist.

Saw one a couple of months ago. I like it.

Saw a Porsche GT3 two days ago, the paint looked like it was an inch thick. Some young guy was driving it.
 
I saw TWO RS6s in the past 2 days plus some strange Maserati parked next to me at the supermarket.

It was this.

Sounded like a motorcycle when the owner started it up. It also had vehicle manufacturer plates (not dealer).
 
Much like how those of you in Cali see Italian cars everywhere, living near Detroit provides me the "bonus" of seeing all the new domestics pretty early. We've had a good number of XLRs around here for a while, and one of our customers even parked his right in front of the main door. I had a nice double-take. 😉

And the CTS-V is popping up a little more often too...I think i've seen 3 so far? Nothing too amazing to look at, but knowing what's underneath the hood...hot.
 
Here in Michigan, where I live, XLR's are no biggie...

There's even one in my H.S. parking lot.

But yea, its a damn sexy car and it does make your head turn.

Wish they had it in a manual though.
 
If Chrysler would get off the pot and finally crank out the topless version of the 300C for $40,000 the XLR will be sucking it's exhaust.

Last I checked the convertible HEMI C was cancelled unfortunately, too bad since it was such a GORGEOUS car...
