i personally wouldnt buy it

those things are hella sweet.
they have one at the dearlship in town.. as i was test driving a 2k1 Maxima 20th anniversary last night I saw it sit'n there... VERY NICE.

Must say this is the first SUV that I've seen where they talk about the on-road performance more than the off-road. Saw a bunch of billboards for the Murano driving thru Conn. over the weekend hawking that. At least they are being more honest about these vehicles now.

A Cayenne would rape this thing sideways on-road and off. And looks better than the pig-faced FX to boot.

Never said I liked or disliked the actual car. But I was just happy that they have given up marketing these things as "boulder climbers" or "plowing thru 10 inches of snow" type vehicles. Instead, they basically are marketing them as manly minivans, people movers and cargo movers, for around the town. That was what I liked.

Personally, I can't stand SUV's and would only buy one if I had a boat or something similar to tow.

What good is it?

its an station wagon for yuppies who don't want to admit that they drive a station wagon

So what? It has 300+ HP V8, G35 platform and AWD, pulls 0.9 G on the skidpad, and doesn't roll over easily. I say it's a great station wagon hatchback suv type of thingy. It's a great vehicle.

I think you have that backwards. Besides, the Cayenne is bigger and much more expensive.... not to mention the fact that it's the epitome of sell-out.

I'd prefer it in station wagon form and with a 6 speed manual.

I think it looks sweet. From the back looks very sporty..plus has tons of power. V8, 345HP. This was designed as better option than a station wagon.

I like the murano, but they don't share the same engine.

Yeah but no one would want to rape a Cayenne because it is so butt ugly.

it looks like a nissan murano. ghey.

my thoughts exactly.

thats what i thought about these new designs in the beginning but they are growing on me

Doesn't look like a Murano AT ALL.

Murano
FX

Edit: Upon further consideration, I have decided that you have to be a moron to think they look even remotely similar.

Murano = Altima Platform
FX45 = G35/350z platform

uh huh, you wouldn't want to admit that you drove a station wagon either. 😀

It looks like a nissan murano and hyundai santa fe had sex0r and produced that .. It's still nice though, i'd ride it.. But i'd prefer an acura MDX over it.

The auto manufacturers tried calling them sports tourers when they firt unveiled them. Just call it what it is people, a sports wagon.
