Mediocre? In what way? It was one of the best made films I've seen in a very very long time. Every aspect of that movie was near perfection.

I wished it had been nominated for something that year, but it was probably too weird of a movie to actually get recognized by the Academy.

Twas a great movie, I admit. What I do not understand is this promulgated perception of profundity that it apparently possessed.

I'd like to hear your opinions on what made it a truly great movie. I loved the movie, I just didn't find that it elicited any profound realizations like it apparently did for some people.
