Saw Blink 182 Last Night

Great show by a great band. They played all of their hits, and many others that never got radio play. Travis Barker is a freaking machine, and near the end of the show played an awesome drum solo while his entire platform was flying and spinning in the air. I hadn't seen them in about ten years, and I don't think they've lost a step.

There were 20,000 people at the show, and the crowd was awesome. Fall Out Boy was kind of.....Blah, and All American Rejects were okay.

I don't care for the other two bands at all but I wouldn't mind seeing Blink now that they're back together. Ticket prices are probably insane though.

I saw them with Green Day about 6 years ago.
Blink also had the flying drum platform and extended over the mosh pit and flipped upside down.
Travis was strapped in to his seat with a 5 point harness and his solo lasted about 10min.

It was the coolest thing I have seen at a concert.

Here is a similar Video. That platform doesn't flip upside down though.

Blur reunites....then all these all bands decide to do it at the same time. Oh well....Travis Barker is a cool drummer though, but he is the only hilight of that band.

Yea, I remember that concert. Saw them at MSG in NY back then. It was one of my favorite concert I have been to.

the last time I saw them was on warped tour about ten years ago with that platform. The show was ok.
He does have skill, for sure. To say he sucks is nothing more than hating on popular people. He is quite talented. Would he be very good at playing jazz? maybe maybe not.

There is more to drumming than playing as fast as possible.

edit: You want a good drum solo? Look at Carter Beuford from Dave Mathew's Band. He'll make you jizz your pants WITHOUT the need for special effects.

There is more to drumming than playing as fast as possible.

That is exactly what he does. Have you seen his technique? He grips the sticks like hammers. Look at how dented his heads are, it's completely barbaric.

Give me some sheet music - let's overlay video and show him what stick height/control really means!
