Saw Ann Coulter speak tonight...

Needless to say, the audience was extremely divided. Many were kicked out. Shouting and interruption occurred throughout.

This woman is a lunatic. Don't tell me to post this in P&N, it has nothing to do with politics. She's racist, biggoted, out of her mind in terms of the issues, and just plain nasty. I'm saddned that people of her mindset not only exist, but manage to sell millions of books and garner a solid following.

I'm disappointed that she probably got exactly the reaction she thrives upon-those who so strongly oppose her becoming nearly overwhelmed with white hot rage. I was gripping my seat throughout the evening.

Funny fact about the wikipedia article: The speech she gave TONIGHT (at Indiana University) is ALREADY mentioned. Someone got to that fast. 😉

EDIT-Just want clarify a few things: I said "it has nothing to do with politics" because I don't believe hate is a partisan issue. Most conservatives hate this chick. She makes blatantly racist, sexist (ironically, against women), and just generally hate-filled comments on a regular basis. For those saying "it's entertainment" or "it's a joke.." well, i'm sorry guys, but I don't find it very funny. I am not amused. I'm serious guys, if you haven't heard her speak, you have no idea how awful of a person she is. I didn't. My girlfriend's conservative, my best bud's conservative, both of my roommates are conservative. Everyone hated her.

Wow, just read the wiki article about her.

If everything on there is true, she just set women and Americans back like 300 years.

She's crazy and it's funny to watch her on tv. She gets all flipped out and starts talking fast. You can tell she wants to get up and start fighting. All that testosterone that is flowing through her, it really gets her pumped.

Keeping aside the {left/right | liberal/conservative | blue/red | any other label that P&N may suck up}, I can only quote Jon Stewart: "Stop, stop, stop, stop hurting America."

At a February 23, 2006 appearance at Indiana University-Bloomington, she told the extremely divided audience, "Liberals hate both God and America," and referred to a man with a feminine voice who was asking questions as a "gay boy" [9]

Damn. Shoulda brought my lawnchair and beer to this speech.

While in Law School, Coulter was often seen wearing a fur coat to class, even in temperate weather. This was perceived by many fellow students as a political statement directed at her more liberal "PETA loving" classmates.

Coulter was contracted by USA Today to cover the 2004 Democratic National Convention, but was replaced by Goldberg of NRO after a "disagreement over editing" (Memmot, 2004). Her one article from the convention began "Here at the Spawn of Satan convention in Boston", and referred to some (unspecified) female attendees as "corn-fed, no make-up, natural fiber, no-bra needing, sandal-wearing, hirsute, somewhat fragrant hippie chick pie wagons."

she is a good laugh.

She's awesome! I love the reactions she gets from people with trees stuck up their asses, and liberals too. Just don't take her seriously though.

Controversy sells and sells well. In fact, the funniest thing about the way controversy sells is that the people who claim to hate you are often your best customers.

There was a great interview with her where she insisted Canada had fought in the Vietnam war...

Coulter: "I'm 100% sure Canada was behind the USA during Vietnam"
Interviewer: "No, the Australians were - but Canada definately was not"
C: "No, No, I think you're wrong on that"
I: "I'm sure any history book would confirm this"
C: "I don't think so, but I will get back to you about"

Voice over: [She never did get back to us]

😀
