Saw a Spark and then my computer smelled like it was burning?

PSU probably went. Try a new PSU and pray that it didn't take out other things with it.

Also it is more than likely a burn component that you will need to replace

Yup. PSU. A capacitor probably blew or something created a short... somehow.

disconnect the power plug from the computer, open the computer up and see if you can smell the burn from the psu or from the motherboard.

You might be able to salvage some pieces...

Yah. Sadly, the consensus is probably correct. I had a PS go last year in a similar fashion, and it took out the HD and the MB too. :( Hope you have better luck.

Same here, last year i had one go out. I changed it and tryed to reload windows.... never could get it to reinstall. It will post, just wont finsh the windows instal process, nto sure what went out with it.

The hamsters running your CPU all lit up at once. Usually this happens on April 20th, but they appear to be habitual stoners now. :(

My PSU went out last year. Sounded like a shotgun blast going off in the media room.
