Im downloading and filling out government forms and applications, most positions I apply for ask for some of the same forms, so rather than just redownload, print and fill out, is there a way in Adobe Acrobat to save a downloaded document and fill it out so that I can save it semi filled out and then just fill out the job announcement numbers as I apply?

Thanks in Advance.

If you have the complete Acrobat with distiller, etc., you can write to PDF files and save them. You could save them with different numbers or names (form number?) and probably do what you describe.

More than likely you can just right-click on the last link you typically click on before the .pdf comes up and do a "save as..." and save it to the hard drive. Sometimes they're a little trickier in how they bring up the document, so this may not work in a few cases.

As far as filling them in, you're pretty much out of luck, electronically speaking, unless you get the full version of Adobe Acrobat ($$$). You could do a printout of the form and use a scanner and some software like Formhelper (I think that's the name), or some other program that takes a scanned form and let's you edit it, to save it as an editable form in that format, I suppose.
